Hopefully this is not the first time you have heard the term Feng Shui, which translated simply means “wind” and “water”.  My name is Teresa Svedman and I am a Traditional Feng Shui Professional.  I practice a classic ancient form that has been around for over 3000 plus years.  It is the Asian method of creating wealth in all aspects of life and is credited to have empowered Dynasty’s. My goal is to treat you with tips and tricks and to disperse some of the myths surrounding this very special way to improve your health, wealth and happiness.

Feng Shui is scientific and practical.  It is the study of landforms and how the energy called ch’i moves through and around those forms in either a positive or a negative manner.  Traditional or classical Feng Shui is also referred to as “flying star” which only references the mathematical formulation of a pattern ch’i establishes and should not be mistakenly misrepresented as Chinese astrology.   These star numbers create a beginning energy that gives insights to a Feng Shui Professional on how one can assist their client.

To most effectively improve your luck through the study of Feng Shui, you would need an accurate floor plan and facing direction of your home or office.  All flying star work begins with those two very important functions.  If Feng Shui is new to you, I will be sharing more generic information, helping you to “get your feet wet”.  It is essential you understand that Feng Shui is holographic and a very complicated network of layers and working in each space is unique and has its own individual issues.

AT the end of January and through February 4th, 2009 marks the anniversary of annual flying star energy changes.  A new year creates new challenges when renovating or redecorating your home.  Just as important as the building’s flying star energy, another layer is this annual energy apt to create chaos or bad luck.  Have you ever started a project that just seemed jinxed?  Feng Shui may ease your pain.  Each year, some months, days, even down to hours or minutes, certain directions can have harmful effects on your health and or wealth.  Of course we can certainly live through a minute or an hour, but a day especially a month, on top of a year in negative energy, can create a pretty bad day, month or worse yet even a year.  So, after February 4th, 2009, it is not recommended to “move earth” or break ground on your property including the inside of your home or office, in the Northeast, North, East or the Southwest. It is also not recommended to sleep with your head pointing one of those directions or sitting for long periods of time facing one of those directions.

If you are forced to work on or in any of these areas in your home or on your property, there are traditional cures that will mitigate the negative influences.  The term “cure” reduces or stops the offending energy.  The cures are created with the basic understanding of the essential theory of nature, the cycle of creation and destruction, using the five elements which are Metal, Water, Wood, Fire and Earth.  If you are suffering from bad health or bad luck in general, consulting a Feng Shui professional can help assist you in creating a more peaceful resolution.
